The University of Michigan women's lacrosse team (5-7, 1-2 B1G) travels to Notre Dame on Tuesday before hosting Johns Hopkins in a noon game at the U-M Lacrosse Stadium on Sunday, April 8.
WOLVERINE BITES
• Michigan enters play following a 16-9 loss to No. 2-ranked Maryland last weekend. The Wolverines battled defensively as Junior goalie Mira Shane finished with a career-high 14 saves in the cage for the Wolverines, tying former Wolverine Allison Silber for second all-time in a single game at Michigan.
• Junior Adriana Pendino matched her career high of five points against UDM, finishing with four goals and one assist.
• In three of Michigan's five victories this season, the Wolverines have held their opponents to four goals or fewer -- Butler (W, 12-2), Canisius (W, 14-3) and Central Michigan (W, 12-4). The two goals allowed against Butler rank third in program history for fewest goals allowed in a game. The exception came in Saturday's 9-7 victory over Ohio State.
• Adriana Pendino has scored three or more goals in a game six times this season.
• Bianca Brueckner is the only Wolverine to score in all games played this season, tallying one goal in each of the 11 games she has appeared in, including the career-setting game versus UDM and the three versus Maryland. She has played in 11 of 12 games this season and has 19 total points, with 14 goals five assists.
• Freshman Caitlin Muir has started each of the last nine games after missing the first three games of the season due to injury. She has scored at least two goals in five of U-M's last six games, with multiple points in all five.
• Molly Garrett continues to lead Michigan in draw controls this season, winning 36 and moving her into seventh place on Michigan's all-time top 10 for draw controls in a single season, while her 54 career draw controls rank fourth in program history, ahead of current senior Mae Tarr (43).
• Junior goalie Mira Shane has started each of the last six games in cage for Michigan. Overall, she has seen time in 10 of 12 games this season, recording a goal against average of 9.86 and a save percentage of .417. Her single-game save percentage of .600 against Central Michigan ranks fourth in the program record book, as she made six saves and allowed just four goals in 60 minutes.
