
Conry Announces Addition of Gjokaj to Coaching Staff

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan men's lacrosse head coach Kevin Conry announced Tuesday (Sept. 26) the addition of Ben Gjokaj (JO-kai) to the coaching staff. A recent University of Detroit Mercy graduate, Gjokaj will serve in the role of volunteer assistant coach and will specialize in faceoffs.
Gjokaj spent the last four years as a faceoff specialist for the Titans and graduated as the school's all-time leader in faceoff winning percentage (51 percent). As a junior, he led the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and ranked 24th in the country in faceoff win percentage, going 74-of-133 (56.6%) at the dot.
A Wolverine Lake, Michigan, native, Gjokaj works for the Faceoff Academy, a faceoff training program, and has coached numerous club teams in the Ann Arbor and Metro Detroit Area. Gjokaj also helps run a training program, Michigan Faceoff Specialists, which is an affiliate of the Faceoff Academy.
Gjokaj's addition fills the final assistant coach role on Conry's staff that includes assistant coaches Conor Ford and Jim Rogalski.
