» PJ Bogle marked a hat trick, his second of the season, on five shots to up his season total to 12 goals.
» Decker Curran netted two goals on the afternoon, giving him six over the last two contests and upping his season total to 15, while Avery Myers set a career high with three assists. In all, the midfield unit combined for five goals and four assists (nine points).

BALTIMORE, Md. -- The University of Michigan men's lacrosse team fell by a 19-9 scoreline to the No. 8 Johns Hopkins University Blue Jays Saturday (April 22) at John's Hopkins' Homewood Field.
The Blue Jays jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the opening nine minutes prior to a marker from junior PJ Bogle at 5:23 of the first on an extra-man opportunity. U-M followed with a marker from sophomore Brent Noseworthy, who finished in close off a feed from classmate Rocco Sutherland from goal line extended offside low as the contest went into the second quarter at a 3-2 scoreline.
JHU then began the second on a 4-0 run to stretch the lead to 7-2. Senior Ian King put an end to the run as he took a feed on the extra man from freshman Avery Myers, finishing on a step-down rip to make the count 7-3 at 3:18. The Blue Jays added a pair before the end of the half to send the contest to the intermission at a 9-3 scoreline.
Coming out of the half, Hopkins added three scores in the first five minutes to stretch the lead to 12-3 prior to sophomore longpole Nick DeCaprio netting his second goal of the season in transition on an assist from junior Parker McKee. After two straight from the Blue Jays, U-M outscored JHU 3-2 over the final six minutes of the quarter, keyed by a pair of goals from sophomore Decker Curran and a marker from King.
Bogle added his second and third of the day on a helper from Myers at 8:23 and an assist from Curran at 4:35 of the fourth to give himself his second hat trick of the season.
The Blue Jays were led by attackman Kyle Marr with three goals and six assists for nine points, with 12 players scoring at least one goal. Former Wolverine goalie Gerald Logan made two saves in a little more than five minutes of action and allowed one goal.

Now eliminated from postseason play, the Wolverines will wrap up the 2017 campaign by hosting the No. 9 Penn State Nittany Lions on Sunday (April 30) at 2 p.m. from Michigan Stadium. The contest will also serve as Senior Day for 11 Wolverines and will be broadcast via BTN.
