» U-M trailed by as many as six goals in the second quarter but fought back to trim the advantage to 14-11 at the beginning of the fourth quarter, before Hopkins finished the game on a 4-2 run.
» Both Ian King and Sean McCanna each had two goals and two assists for four points on the evening. King's pair of assists broke Will Meter's (2012) single-season assist record of 15 and gave him 16 on the season.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's lacrosse team bid farewell to 13 seniors on Senior Day, as senior Kyle Jackson tied his career-high five goals to lead the offense as U-M fell to the No. 10 Johns Hopkins Blue Jays, 19-13, In front of a season-high 2,784 fans Saturday (April 23) at Michigan Stadium.
Michigan led 2-0 early after back-to-back unassisted goals from junior Ian King and sophomore Sean McCanna. Johns Hopkins then scored four unanswered goals over the last 6:25 of the first quarter to take a 4-2 lead into the second. The Blue Jays continued their run, scoring the first three goals of the second quarter to extend its lead to 7-2 with 12:47 remaining in the half. Michigan was outscored 4-3 over the last 10:26 of the half, adding another goal from King and two goals from senior Kyle Jackson. One of Jackson's goals was a highlight-reel behind-the-back shot on the crease off a feed from King with 12 seconds remaining. Michigan trailed Johns Hopkins 11-5 heading into the half.
U-M marked two quick goals to open up the second half on Jackson's third and McCanna's second of the day. The last 7:39 of the third quarter saw the Wolverines and the Blue Jays both score three goals apiece, with Jackson adding his fourth on a man-down opportunity.
He added his fifth to tie his career high of five on a man down with 2:21 left to make the score 13-9. U-M got to as close as 15-12 with 11:25 to go in the fourth but was outscored 4-1 over the final stretch to fall by the 19-13 tally.
McCanna had a career best of four points on the day with two goals and pair of assists, while King also had two goals and a pair of helpers as well. Senior Chase Brown led U-M with five ground balls and four caused turnovers, while classmate Charlie Keady had four ground balls.

U-M returns concludes the 2016 season next Saturday (April 30) at Penn State. The contest is slated for a noon start from State College and will be broadcast on Big Ten Network.
Jackson has scored at least three goals in seven of his eight games played this season.
The starting attack unit of King, Jackson and Peter Kraus played together for the first time since the Dartmouth contest on March 19.
With his 13 saves today, goalie Gerald Logan has now had double-digit saves in nine of 12 contests this season.
The announced crowd of 2,784 marks a season best.
