The Maize and Blue went up 6-5 in set three on a Cole kill and 10-7 after a Knop termination. Mahlke and Davis had two straight kills to make it 24-23 but Oregon State scored the final two points to take the set. Michigan hit .304 in the set.
The fourth set was a back-and-forth affair at the beginning as junior Krystalyn Goode's (River Hills, Wis./Nicolet) kill and block gave the Maize and Blue a 7-6 lead.
