LAKE CHARLES, La. -- Sophomore CF Gino Lollio (Cape Coral, Fla./Mariner HS) launched a two-run, 11th-inning homer to give the Michigan baseball team a 6-4 win over McNeese State in the series finale Sunday afternoon (March 11) at Cowboy Diamond. The homer was the third hit of the day and fifth of the series for Lollio. He had tied the game at 4-4 with a two-out double in the eighth inning.

Sophomore RHP Tim Leveque (Northridge, Calif./Crespi HS) struck out a Wolverine season-high seven batters in working 5.1 innings to collect his first win of the season. Junior RHP Bobby Wood (Englewood, Colo./Cherry Creek HS) fanned two in the 11th to record the save.

Junior/sophomore DH Nate Wright (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew HS) provided the early offense with Michigan's first homer of the year -- and his first career blast -- in the third inning. Wright added a run-scoring double in the seventh inning.

The host Cowboys (13-9) scored three times in the fifth inning off freshman RHP Jim Brauer (Carmel, Ind./Carmel HS) and led 4-1 after six innings before Leveque stepped in and slammed the door.

Michigan (5-6) heads to Lawrence, Kan., for three games at the University of Kansas next weekend (March 16-18). The Wolverines will meet Illinois-Chicago on Friday (March 16, noon CST) and then face the host Jayhawks of Kansas on Saturday (March 17, 3 p.m. CST) and Sunday (March 18, 11 a.m. CST).
