U-M Continues Offensive Onslaught at Ball State
9/1/1999 12:00:00 AM | Field Hockey
Senior captain Ashley Reichenbach (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra HS) scored her first career goal to open the U-M scoring barrage just 4:46 into the contest. Freshmen Stephanie Johnson (Houston, Texas/The Kinkaid School) and Molly Powers (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park-River Forest HS) along with sophomore Laura Stinson (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer HS) each netted her first career goal, and Johnson's proved to be the game-winner.
Also figuring in on the Michigan scoring was sophomore speedster Jessie Veith (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park-River Forest HS), a high school teammate of Powers.
After playing its first three games on the road, Michigan will open its home schedule Sunday, Sept. 5, by playing host to Northeastern University at 1 p.m. at Ocker Field.
