
Michigan Set to Host Last Chance Meet Saturday

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 12-ranked University of Michigan men's swimming and diving team (8-4, 2-2 Big Ten) will host the Last Chance Meet Saturday (March 7) at noon at Canham Natatorium.
Notes
• Five swimmers -- Joshua Brown, Inbar Danziger, Jaeddan Gamilla, Ryan Healy and Ozan Kalafat -- will hit the pool one more time this season to compete for best times and NCAA qualification.
• Brown placed eighth in the 1,650-yard freestyle at the Big Ten Championships, clocking a time of 14:58.72. Brown also took 24th overall in the 400-yard IM with a mark of 3:48.13.
• Danziger posted a qualifying time in the 200-yard backstroke at the Big Ten Championships with a mark of 1:41.25.
• Gamilla will look to drop more time after qualifying for the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke at the conference championships. Gamilla ranks inside the top 16 in both races in the Big Ten.
• Healy shined in the 400-yard IM at the Big Ten Championships, taking seventh overall with a mark of 3:44.14. Healy's preliminary time of 3:41.40 met the national qualifying standard.
• Rounding out the Michigan swimmers, Kalafat showed versatility at the Big Ten Championships, reaching a final in all three events he started. The senior posted qualifying times in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke at the Big Ten Championships.
• Following the Last Chance Meet, NCAA selections will be announced on March 11.
