
Two Relay Podium Finishes Vault Michigan to Seventh on Day 1 of NCAA Championships

ATLANTA, Ga. -- The No. 10-ranked University of Michigan men's swimming and diving team opened the NCAA Championships on Wednesday (March 25) at McAuley Aquatic Center. The Wolverines sit seventh with 48 points.
Michigan hit the pool for the 200-yard medley relay, with the team of Jack Wilkening, Luka Mladenovic, Ole Eidam and Tyler Ray combining to post a mark of 1:21.64, setting a new school record in the event and finishing seventh overall.
Michigan also finished seventh in the 800-yard freestyle relay as the quartet of Antoine Sauve, Eitan Ben-Shitrit, Colin Geer and Lorne Wigginton posted a mark of 6:07.81 to set another school record.
Michigan will be back at McAuley Aquatic Center on Thursday (March 26) for the second day of the NCAA Championships. Preliminaries will start at 10 a.m., and finals will commence at 6 p.m.
