
Michigan to Travel to Ohio State for Conference Action

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 8-ranked University of Michigan women's gymnastics team (4-2, 1-2 Big Ten) travels to No. 19 Ohio State (3-1, 3-0 Big Ten) on Saturday (Feb. 7) for a 4 p.m. Big Ten Conference meet at Covelli Center.

• Michigan enters week six of the season as the No. 8-ranked team in the nation, moving up two spots with a season-best 197.425 against Michigan State. The Wolverines rank inside the top-15 on all four events: No. 5 on balance beam, No. 11 on uneven bars and floor exercise and No. 14 on vault. Michigan moved up seven spots on floor after recording a season-best 49.550 in the final rotation against the Spartans. U-M also moved up two spots in the vault rankings with its season-high 49.325 in week five.
• Individually, Kayli Boozer is tied for seventh nationally after earning her fourth straight beam title with a second straight 9.900. This season, Boozer has earned two 9.950s and two 9.900s in four appearances on the beam.
• Graduate student Carly Bauman ranks 17th nationally on floor following a career-best 9.975 against Michigan State.
• U-M's 197.425 against Michigan State was its highest team score since 2023, highlighted by season highs on vault and floor.
• Michigan had a floor party against the Spartans, putting together a season-high 49.550. The Wolverines were led Bauman, who scored a career-best 9.975, while freshman Quincy Walters scored a career-high 9.950 in the second spot in the lineup. Jahzara Ranger anchored with a 9.925 and Audrey Sanger tied a career-best 9.875.
• Michigan recorded a season-best 49.325 on the vault against MSU. Graduate student Reyna Guggino led the team with a 9.900, Boozer and Sophia Diaz followed with matching 9.875s and Jahzara Ranger earned a 9.850.
• Boozer won her fourth straight beam title in as many weeks and has a total of seven beam titles in her career. Boozer earned a 9.900 against the Spartans after scoring back-to-back 9.950s at the Sprouts Farmers Collegiate Quad and against Minnesota and a 9.900 against Iowa. In total, Boozer has seven beam scores of 9.900 or better, notching three career 9.950s.
• In week one of the season, Michigan broke the program beam record with a 49.650 at Sprouts. The score broke the previous program-best 49.625, set in the 2023 season. U-M put up back-to-back 9.950s behind collegiate debuts from Walters and Jordan. Boozer recorded Michigan's third 9.950 of the rotation before Bauman anchored with a 9.925.
• The Wolverines are in their 50th season as a program in the 2026 campaign. Since becoming a program in 1976, Michigan has won 27 Big Ten titles, eight regular-season Big Ten titles and one national championship in 2021. In its 50 seasons, U-M has had 212 All-American citations from 53 athletes. The Wolverines have had 17 AAI Award finalists and four winners, including back-to-back winners in Natalie Wojcik and Sierra Brooks. Michigan broke the 198-barrier on 12 occasions with a team-high score of 198.525 in 2022. U-M has produced 114 individual Big Ten champions and has had 15 Big Ten Gymnast of the Year nods.
• Michigan will remain on the road when it goes west for a meet against No. No. 5 UCLA on Saturday (Feb. 14) at 4 p.m. PT. The meet will be streamed live on B1G+.
