ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 17-ranked University of Michigan women's gymnastics team scored a season-high 197.325 to finish fourth at the 2025 Big Ten Championships Saturday evening (March 22) at Crisler Center.
UCLA took home the Big Ten title in its first season in the conference with a 198.450, while Michigan State finished in second with a 198.150 and Minnesota rounded out the top three with a 197.425.
The Wolverines (18-9) scored a season-best 49.550 on the floor with career-best 9.950s from both Carly Bauman and Jahzara Ranger to tie for fourth overall. Freshman Peyton Davis notched a career-best 9.900 and Audrey Sanger had a career-best 9.875.
Sophomore Ava Jordan tied for seventh overall on the uneven bars with a career-high 9.900 with a stuck landing and Ranger came in 10th on the vault with a 9.850. Freshman Sophie Parenti tied two career bests with 9.850s on both uneven bars and beam, while Sophia Diaz stuck her uneven bars landing for a 9.875.
The Wolverines started with back-to-back career highs as Parenti tied a career-best 9.850 in the lead off and Jordan stuck with a career-best 9.900 in the second spot. Diaz and Bauman notched matching 9.875s as Michigan put together its third-highest team score of the season with a 49.325.
Parenti tied her second career best of the day with a 9.850 and Ranger tied a career-best 9.900 in the fourth spot for the Wolverines. Bauman anchored with a 9.900 as Michigan sat in third with a running score of 98.650 at the halfway point. Michigan State led the session with a 99.100, while UCLA was in second with a 98.900 and Minnesota rounded out the scoring with a 98.575.
The Wolverines put together a season-high 49.550 on the floor behind two 9.950s that were also career highs from both Bauman and Ranger, while Davis scored a career-best 9.900 and Parenti tallied her third 9.850 of the evening. Michigan continued to sit in third overall with a 148.200 after three complete rotations.
Davis tied a career-best 9.825 to lead off the final rotation, while Ranger notched a 9.850. Jenna Mulligan and Diaz finished the meet with matching 9.825s. UCLA used a 49.800 in the final rotation to take home the title.
