TAMPA, Fla. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team concluded the USF Alumni Invitational at USF Track and Field Stadium on Saturday (March 22), setting a top-10 program mark in the 4x100-meter relay.
The relay team of Jaden Simmons, Jack Juds, Jacob Koerner and Corey Royster finished sixth with a time of 40.12 seconds, the No. 3 time on the program performers list. The time is just 0.21 seconds short of the program record.
In the 100-meter dash, Amit Rutman finished 28th (10.64), while Miles Brown finished eighth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 46.96. Both post personal best times.
Aiden Sullivan posted a personal-best mark of 3:44.84 in the 1,500-meter run, finishing third.
Luke Stowasser cleared 2.00 meters (6 feet, 6.75 inches) in the high jump to finish fifth, coming just 0.01m shy of his personal-best mark.
In the discus throw, Zane Forist placed fourth with a mark of 56.36m (184-11), and Eli Winter placed 12th with a mark of 48.99m (160-8). Forist's mark was 1.02m short of his career best.
The Wolverines will split between a pair of meets next week, heading to the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State on Thursday and Friday (March 27-28) and the Battle on the Bayou hosted by LSU on Friday and Saturday (March 28-29).
