• Michigan will celebrate its senior class after the game. The 2025 senior class includes: Kaylee Dyer, Jane Fetterolf, Katharine Merrifield, Erin O'Grady, Haley Polk, Maya Rutherford, Julia Schwabe, and Jill Smith. This group has led the Wolverines to three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including a quarterfinal berth in 2024, and helped achieve the program's highest-ever ranking at No. 2 last season.
• Freshman Emma Burke has emerged as a draw control specialist, setting a single-game program record with 17 draw wins in just her third career game. Burke has 30 draws this season, ranking third in the Big Ten and sixth nationally with 9.67 draws per game. Among freshmen, she ranks second nationally behind Clemson's Kira Balis. For her efforts, Burke earned her first career Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor.
• Freshman Caroline Byrd has scored in all four games this season. Byrd had a career-high four points against Marquette, tallying two goals and two assists for her first multi-goal performance. She has eight points this season, with five goals and three assists.
• Senior goalie Erin O'Grady became the fourth player in Michigan history to record 200 career saves. O'Grady posted back-to-back 12-save performances to open the season, bringing her career total to 225. Her 12 saves at No. 9 Yale marked her seventh career double-digit save game, one shy of her personal best.
• Seniors Jill Smith and Kaylee Dyer are chasing program records in their final seasons. Smith, who already holds Michigan's goals record, has 183 career points, placing her second all-time behind Caitlin Muir's 203. With her draw control against Marquette, Smith increased her career total to 140, fifth in program history. Dyer has 93 career goals and is aiming to become the sixth Wolverine with 100 goals.
• Michigan had six players with multi-goal performances in the win over Marquette. Dyer led with seven points (three goals, four assists), while Smith recorded her first hat trick of the season and added three assists. Senior Julia Schwabe contributed five points (three goals, two assists), and Peyton Shreves, Ava Class, and Byrd each scored twice. Thirteen Wolverines scored in the game.

• Head coach Hannah Nielsen is in her eighth season leading Michigan. Nielsen guided the Wolverines to a program-best 16-4 record in 2024, including their first NCAA Quarterfinal appearance. The team ranked as high as No. 2 nationally and led the nation in scoring defense. Michigan recorded seven wins over ranked opponents last season, including victories over then-No. 4 Denver and No. 4 Notre Dame. The Wolverines scored 248 goals and set a program record with 101 assists in 2024.
