
Wolverines to Host Oakland for Holiday Game

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 6-ranked University of Michigan women's basketball team (9-1) plays at Crisler Center for the final time in 2025 on Sunday (Dec. 21), hosting Oakland (3-7) at noon. It is part of a doubleheader with the men's team, which will play La Salle at 4 p.m.

• Mila Holloway is three assists away from 200 in her career. With three more, she will become the 31st Wolverine to reach the mark.
• U-M has won the last eight games against Oakland, all coming under head coach Kim Barnes Arico. Michigan leads the series, 13-5.
• Michigan is playing a doubleheader with the men's team for the first time since the 2023-24 season. This season marks the first time that both teams have been ranked in the top 10 at the same time, with the men's team currently ranked No. 2 in the Associated Press poll.
• The Wolverines stayed at No. 6 in the AP poll this week, marking the fifth straight week in the top 10. It is the second-longest streak of staying in the top 10 after a six-week run during the 2021-22 season.
• Michigan has four players scoring in double figures in sophomores Olivia Olson (18.0 ppg), Syla Swords (13.7 ppg), Mila Holloway (13.3 ppg) and Te'Yala Delfosse (11.3 ppg).
• U-M is 6-0 at home this season, putting up 95.8 points per game on 53.4 percent shooting from the field. This is Michigan's last game at Crisler until hosting Minnesota on Jan. 5.
• Ashley Sofilkanich is averaging in double figures at Crisler, going for 11.2 points per game on 73.0 percent shooting. Sofilkanich is one of four Wolverines to start all 10 games this season.
• Michigan has three players in the top 11 of the Big Ten in steals per game. Holloway is fourth with 2.5 steals per game, Olson 10th at 2.2 per game and Brooke Quarles Daniels comes in 11th with 2.1 steals per game. As a team, U-M is averaging 13.9 steals per contest, good for third in the conference and 14th nationally.
• The Wolverines are 9-1 through 10 games for the second straight season. Following this game against Oakland, U-M has one non-conference game remaining. Michigan will face Vanderbilt in the Coretta Scott King Classic on Martin Luther King Day (Jan. 19) in Newark, N.J.
