ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family Head Women's Basketball Coach Kim Barnes Arico announced Thursday morning (June 25) the addition of Dallas Loughridge to the Wolverines for the 2026-27 season.
"We are excited about adding Dallas to our program," Barnes Arico said. "She gives us another playmaker and ballhandler in the backcourt. She has experience playing against tremendous competition, which has prepared her for the transition to this level. She is just an unbelievable scorer and will give us another threat with her decision-making and playmaking."
Loughridge, a 5-6 guard from Australia, most recently played for the Casey Cavaliers in the NBL1 South in Australia. Last week, she went for 38 points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals against Diamond Valley en route to being named the NBL1 South Foot Locker Player of the Week for Round 11. Through 17 games this season, Loughridge averaged 25.5 points, 5.1 assists, and 3.7 rebounds in nearly 37 minutes per game.
She was named the 2026 Betty Watson Breakout Player of the Year in February after playing with the Adelaide Lightning during the 2025-26 WNBL season. She averaged 16.35 points, 3.96 assists and 3.35 rebounds per game for the Lightning. Loughridge was also honored as the 2025 NBL1 South Women's Youth Player of the Year.
Loughridge has FIBA experience, playing for Australia in the 2021 FIBA U19 World Cup and the 2022 FIBA U18 Asian Championship Division A, averaging 9.3 points, 2.8 assists, and 1.7 rebounds per game across the two competitions. She won a silver medal with Australia in the U19 World Cup and a gold medal at the U18 Asian championship.
