• Burton, Hajjar Highlight Eight Wolverines to Earn All-Big Ten Honors (5/30/21)
Ted Burton (May 18)
Big Ten Player of the Week -- Sophomore Ted Burton earned his first-career weekly conference honor after batting .583 (7-for-12) with three doubles and a home run (1.083 SLG; .615 OBP) as Michigan won its weekend series vs. No. 21-ranked Indiana. He gave U-M an early lead on Friday (May 14) with a solo homer, finishing with two hits and two RBI in the win. He hit two doubles, was on base three times and scored twice on Saturday and Sunday (May 15-16), had three hits -- including a double -- and scored three times in a win. » Big Ten Release
Cameron Weston (May 11)
Big Ten Conference Pitcher of the Week -- Sophomore Cameron Weston was named Big Ten Conference Pitcher of the Week after spinning a complete-game one-hitter against the Michigan State on Saturday (May 8) in a 3-1 victory. He struck out nine batters, got 13 outs via ground balls and at one point retired 20 consecutive batters. » Big Ten Release
Steven Hajjar (April 14)
USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award Midseason Watch List -- Redshirt sophomore Steven Hajjar was named to the USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award Preseason Watch List. The Golden Spike Award is presented annually to the top amateur baseball player in the country. Hajjar is among 45 players and one of just five left-handed pitchers named to the list.
