ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Following a run to the College World Series championship game in 2019, the University of Michigan baseball team will play on two dates this fall season as the Wolverines prepare for the 2020 campaign.
Highlighting the schedule is a rematch of the College World Series finals with the Wolverines traveling to Vanderbilt for a 10 a.m. CST contest Sunday, Nov. 10, at Hawkins Field in Nashville, Tennessee.
Recent NCAA legislation allows programs to schedule two fall scrimmages against outside competition without the contests counting against the spring allotment.
Michigan will play one home game at the Wilpon Complex, home of Ray Fisher Stadium. The Wolverines will play host to the Dayton Flyers on Sunday, Oct. 20. Admission will be free for fans, and first pitch is tentatively scheduled for noon.
Michigan also will host two free two-day intrasquad scrimmages at Ray Fisher Stadium on dates to be announced as well as its annual Halloween Batting Practice on Oct. 31, with time TBA.
