Michigan bounced back to win the second game of the series and force a rubber match, the fourth time this season it has done so. In conference play, the Wolverines are 3-for-3 in winning series after dropping the first game.
Sophomore Carmen Benedetti added three doubles and five runs batted in to his season totals, keeping hold of the lead in RBI and grabbing the conference lead in doubles.
Senior Jackson Glines hit his second home run of the season this afternoon, a line-drive shot to right field.
With four hits today, sophomore Carmen Benedetti matched his season high, set on April 18 vs. Purdue.
Senior Kendall Patrick continues to see the ball well, going 3-for-3 today with three runs scored, a walk and a hit-by-pitch. After drawing three walks and a HBP yesterday, he has reached base in eight of his nine plate appearances this series.
With 13 hits today, including six doubles, Michigan retains sole possession of the conference lead in hits (467), average (.303), on-base percentage (.392) and doubles (100).
