• Tuesday's game was the first played by the Wolverines in Comerica Park. It also was a non-conference contest against the Spartans. Michigan and Michigan State do not play each other in the 2015 Big Ten schedule.
• Freshman Jake Bivens extended his reached-base streak to 20 games after his single in the fourth inning.
• Junior Evan Hill had his longest outing of the year, going five innings and allowing three runs with a pair of strikeouts.
• The Michigan bullpen had five strikeouts in the final three innings of work.
• The Wolverines did not have an extra-base hit on the night, garnering eight singles.
