Senior captain CF Patrick Biondi, who is hitting .328 (38-for-116), was 3-for-5 with a run-scoring double, his first homer of the season, a run scored and both U-M RBI. The homer in the 10th inning, that gave Michigan a 2-1 lead, is Biondi's fifth career round tripper.
Biondi, who has his 36 career double in 203 games, has 12 multi-hit games this season and 69 in his U-M career. Biondi has three three-hit games in 2013 and 16 career three-hit games.
Biondi scored one run, giving him 27 runs scored in 2013 to push his career total to 176 runs to tie Ken Hayward (176 runs scored, 1982-85) for second place on U-M's career runs scored list. The record is 190 runs scored by Casey Close (1983-86).
Junior OF Michael O'Neill, who is hitting .347 (61-for-176), was 2-for-5 with a pair of singles. O'Neill leads the team with a career-best 21 multi-hit games in 2013, and he has 53 career multiple-hit games.
O'Neill has hits in 34 of the 42 games this season and in 38 of his last 46 games in the past two seasons.
Senior/junior LHP Logan McAnallen (2-2, 2.74 ERA) pitched 6.1 innings, allowing four hits and one run with two strikeouts in a non-decision start as he left the game in a 1-1 tie in the seventh inning. He was the lone U-M starting pitcher to last longer than the third inning in the weekend series at IU.
McAnallen, who is second on the team in overall action with 38 strikeouts in his 49.1 innings, is 1-1 with a team-leading 1.80 ERA in Big Ten play.
Junior catcher Cole Martin, who is hitting .249 (34-for-137), was 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and a run scored. Martin, who is hitting .353 (18-for-51) in Big Ten play, has 11 multi-hit games in overall action in 2013, and he has 16 career multi-hit games as a Wolverine.
