Junior RF Michael O'Neill, who is hitting .442 (23-for-52) to lead the team, was 2-for-5 with a pair of singles, a run scored and one RBI. O'Neill has nine multi-hit games this season and 41 career multiple-hit games.
O'Neill's fourth-inning single extended his hitting streak to 15 games, including the final four games of 2012.
Senior captain CF Patrick Biondi, who is hitting .386 (17-for-44), was 2-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base. Biondi has five multi-hit games this season and 62 in his U-M career.
Biondi's single in the eighth inning extended his team-leading hitting streak to 18 games. He has hits in 29 of his last 31 games.
Biondi scored one run Monday vs. FGCU giving him 11 for the season, to push his career total to 160 runs scored. Biondi is 11th on U-M's career runs scored list, one shy of Eric Rose (161 runs scored, 2004-07).
Freshman 2B/RHP Jacob Cronenworth, who is hitting .325 (13-for-40), was 1-for-2 with single, hit by pitch, had a sac bunt and recorded his second career stolen base. He extended his personal season-best hitting streak to six games.
Cronenworth (0-1, 5.40 ERA) pitched a scoreless eighth inning with three strikeouts. He has five strikeouts in 3.1 innings this season.
Freshman SS/3B Travis Maezes, who is hitting .268 (11-for-41), was 1-for-4 with a run-scoring double.
