Sophomore RF Michael O'Neill extended his hitting streak to a team season-best 10 games with a fourth-inning single. O'Neill stole second and scored to tie the score 1-1. He has nine stolen bases.
O'Neill, who is hitting .480 (24-for-50), was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. He has 10 multi-hit games this season.
O'Neill has hits in 55 of his 66 games as a Wolverine with 26 multi-hit games, 39 stolen bases, 16 doubles and seven homers in his U-M career.
O'Neill leads the team in hits (24), doubles (8), homers (5), runs batted in (16) and average (.480). He shares the lead of nine stolen bases with CF Patrick Biondi.
Sophomore 1B Brett Winger, who is hitting .357 (15-for-42), was 2-for-4 with a pair of singles for his fourth multi-hit game of the season. He has eight career multi-hit games. Winger extended his hit streak to six games with his second-inning single.
Senior catcher/DH Coley Crank, who is hitting .243 (9-for-37), was 2-for-4 with two RBI. Crank has 11 RBI this season and 119 in his U-M career.
Junior co-captain CF/2B Patrick Biondi, who is hitting .256 (11-for-43), was 1-for-4 with a double on Sunday. Biondi is the lone Wolverine to have reached base in all 12 games this season and he shares the team lead with nine stolen bases.
Freshman 2B Eric Jacobson, son of former Wolverine All-American 2B Jeff Jacobson (1980-83), made his first career start. Jacobson, who is hitting .167 1-for-6, became Michigan's fifth true freshman to earn his first career hit in 2012 -- a third-inning single.
