Senior RHP Brandon Sinnery (1-2, 4.50 ERA) allowed one hit in seven innings, allowing an unearned run with four strikeouts. Sinnery's win is his first of the season and evened his career record at U-M at 9-9.
Freshman RHP James Bourque (1-0, 3.00 ERA, two saves) collected the final two outs to earn his team-leading second save of the season.
Wolverine pitchers senior RHP Brandon Sinnery, freshman LHP Trent Szkutnik, senior RHP Travis Smith and freshman RHP James Bourque combined for the one-hitter. The lone IPFW hit was a single by Kristian Gayday leading off the seventh inning vs. Sinnery.
Sophomore RF Michael O'Neill, who is hitting .371 (33-for-89), was 1-for-4 with a run scored, a HBP and a stolen base.
O'Neill, who has hits in 61 of his 76 games as a Wolverine, has 42 career stolen bases.
Senior catcher/DH Coley Crank, who is hitting .189 (14-for-74), was 1-for-3 with a run-scoring single and a bases loaded walk for two RBI. Crank has 18 RBI this season and 126 in his U-M career.
Junior co-captain CF/2B Patrick Biondi, who is hitting .263 (21-for-80), was 2-for-3 with a stolen base as he extended his hitting streak to five games.
Biondi, who has six multi-hit games this season and 45 for his U-M career, has scored 19 times this season and has scored 124 runs in 133 games in his Wolverine career.
Biondi, who leads the Wolverines with 14 stolen bases, collected his 70th career steal. Biondi ranks third on U-M's career stolen base list as he chases former Wolverine LF Jim Durham (74 steals, 1986-89) in second place. The record is 90 stolen bases set by CF Eric Rose (2004-07).
Sophomore catcher Cole Martin, who is hitting .250 (10-for-40), was 1-for-3 with a walk to extend his U-M career-best hitting streak to five games.
