
Wolverines to Close Non-Conference Slate Against Georgia Southern on Senior Night

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's soccer team (1-0-3) returns to U-M Soccer Stadium on Thursday (Sept. 3) to host Georgia Southern (4-0-2) at 7 p.m. The matchup will mark the Wolverines' final non-conference contest of the season and Senior Night. The match will be streamed live on B1G+.
Notes
• This matchup will mark the first meeting between Michigan and Georgia Southern in program history.
• Michigan will honor five seniors: Lilley Bosley, Campbell Jewell, Gabrielle Prych, Ella Sims and Stella Tapia, along with graduate students Sophie Homan, Luciana Latino and Ana Schremp before Thursday's contest.
• The Wolverines earned a 1-1 draw against No. 25 Notre Dame, continuing a strong stretch of play heading into their non-conference finale.
• Head coach Dave DiIanni recorded his first victory at the helm of the Wolverines with a 1-0 win over Bowling Green.
• Brooklyn Reid earned her first collegiate clean sheet in her first career start against Bowling Green. She made three saves while facing 12 shots and finished the match with a 1.000 save percentage to preserve Michigan's 1-0 victory.
• Junior Adi Walick converted a penalty kick against No. 25 Notre Dame for her second successful penalty of the season. Walick also assisted on Elle Ervin's game-winning goal against Bowling Green, giving her three points across Michigan's last two matches.
• Junior Ellie Fife started both matches for the Wolverines and played all 180 minutes. Fife helped anchor the Maize and Blue defense that conceded just one goal across the two contests.
• U-M will open Big Ten Conference play on the road against Northwestern on Thursday (Sept. 10) at 6:30 p.m. CT in Evanston, Ill. The match will be streamed live on B1G+.
