
Isaac Second Team All-American, Four Wolverines Advance to NCAA Outdoor Championships Finals

EUGENE, Ore. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team opened the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Wednesday (June 10) at Hayward Field, with all five Wolverines advancing to the finals of their respective events.
Freshman Quincy Isaac finished ninth in the long jump, posting a mark of 7.78 meters (25 feet, 6.25 inches). The lone freshman to advance to the finals, Isaac earned second-team All-America honors.
Trent McFarland and Brendan Herger advanced to the 1,500-meter finals on Friday after running 3:36.07 and 3:39.15, respectively, in the semifinals. They finished third in their respective heats to automatically qualify for the finals.
In the 800-meter run, Miles Brown finished second in his heat (1:47.01) to automatically advance to the finals while Camden Law advanced on time (1:45.56). The only runner to post a personal best, Law's time is No. 2 on the program performers list.
The Maize and Blue will close out its 2026 slate on Friday (June 12) with day two of the NCAA Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field, opening action at 5:12 p.m. PT with the 1,500-meter run.
