Big Ten Boat of the Week
» At the Wolverine Double Dual (April 25), the 1V4 boat posted a first-place morning finish over No. 6 Princeton with a time of 7:10.4 (+0.4), as well as an afternoon win over No. 10 Syracuse with a time of 7:16.1 (+6.5).
» This marks the first weekly conference honor for U-M since last spring, when the 2V4 was honored following the Big Ten-ACC Challenge (March 29, 2025).
» U-M's lineup in the 1V4 last weekend included Deanna Macolino (stroke), Jenna Chaffin, Ansley Vicars, Leija Murphy and Talia Daft (coxswain).
Feb. 16 -- Madeleine Lauriault, Jana Peachey
CRCA Athletes to Watch
» Senior rowers Madeleine Lauriault and Jana Peachey were each named to the 2026 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Athletes to Watch Honorable Mention list.
» Both Wolverines are CRCA preseason honorees for the first time in their respective careers.
» Lauriault and Peachey are both members of two conference championship teams (2023, '24) and have a combined three Big Ten gold medals in U-M's top boats (two 1V8, one 2V8).
» Both have rowed with Team Canada at the U23 World Championships.
» The duo was among seven Big Ten athletes honored by the coaches' association.
