INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The No. 17-ranked University of Michigan rowing program saw three of its student-athletes named to the All-Conference team following its fourth-place team finish at the Big Ten Championship this weekend (May 15 and 17). First-team honors were awarded to coxswain Logan Roeder, while rowers Madeleine Lauriault and Jana Peachey secured second-team recognition.
This year's honor marks the first Big Ten distinction for Roeder, a senior and 2025 All-American. Roeder has coxed U-M's top varsity eight boats throughout her career, leading to one gold (1V8), one silver (1V8) and one bronze (1V8) Big Ten medal. She has been a member of two Big Ten championship teams and has led the 1V8 boat this spring.
Lauriault is also a first-time conference honoree. The senior has won gold and bronze (2V8) medals at the Big Ten Championships during her career and has been a member of two Big Ten title-winning teams (2023-24). A staple of U-M's 1V8 during the spring 2026 season, Lauriault was a CRCA Athlete to Watch honorable mention earlier this spring.
This is the second All-Big Ten recognition for Peachey, a first-team selection in 2024. Peachey has won two Big Ten gold medals (2023, '24; 1V8), helping the team to two conference titles. She has been one of U-M's most consistent athletes this spring, contributing mostly from the fourth seat of the first eight.
The team's sportsmanship honoree is Maddy Matos.
Big Ten champion Washington is the conference's only automatic qualifier for the NCAA Championships (May 29-31), to be held in Atlanta, Ga. The Wolverines will await the NCAA selection announcement on Tuesday (May 19).
