Big Ten Championships: 4th Place (255 points)
NCAA Championships: 12th Place (69 points)
The University of Michigan rowing team had a successful campaign in 2025-26, filled with exciting results, as well as team and individual accomplishments. The Maize and Blue earned three bronze-medal finishes at the 2026 Big Ten Championships to pave the way for a fourth-place team finish. All three boats outperformed their NCAA Championship seeds, leading to a 12th-place finish as a team.

Regular Season
• Positive Results at Big Ten Invitational: At the two-day Big Ten Invitational (April 18-19), held in Sacramento, Calif., the Wolverines had the opportunity to test their speed against boats they would see again in the postseason. The event, consisting of 11 Big Ten and eight invitee schools, saw Michigan finish in the top two slots in six races throughout the weekend.
• Wolverines Celebrate Seniors at Home Double Dual: Racing for the last time this season on Belleville Lake, U-M went up against Princeton, Syracuse and Ohio State at the Wolverine Double Dual (April 25) before celebrating Senior Day. Eleven student-athletes were honored with their families on the dock at the conclusion of the day.
• Big Ten Boat of the Week Award: At the Wolverine Double Dual (April 25), the Wolverine first varsity four earned Big Ten Boat of the Week after posting a first-place finish over Princeton (7:10.4) and an afternoon win against Syracuse (7:16.1). The members of the boat included Deanna Macolino, Jenna Chaffin, Ansley Vicars, Leija Murphy and Talia Daft (coxswain).

Postseason
• Three Bronze Medals Fuel Fourth-Place Finish at Big Tens: Michigan earned fourth place at the Big Ten Championships (May 15-17) with 255 points. The 2V8, 3V8 and 4V8 boats each found the podium with third-place showings, helping U-M qualify for the NCAA Championships regatta.
• Michigan Boats Outperform Seeds at NCAA Championships: At the 2026 NCAA Championships (May 29-31), all three boats surpassed their seeds to help the Wolverines earn a 12th-place team finish with 69 points. The second varsity eight (seeded 13th) competed in the petite finals, finishing in eighth place. The 1V8 (seeded 17th) and 1V4 (seeded 15th) competed in the C finals, earning 13th and 14th place, respectively.
• 1V8 Claims C Final Victory at NCAAs: Michigan's first varsity eight earned a win in the C finals of the NCAA Championships with a sub-six-minute time (5:59.456), competing with Columbia and UCF through the 2,000-meter stretch. It was a highlight ending for the Wolverines' top boat, which grew stronger throughout the championship weekend.
• 2V8 Moves to Petite Final in Georgia: The U-M 2V8 earned its way to A/B semifinals on day one and petite finals on day two of the NCAA Championships following a strong performance in the heats. The boat finished second in the petite finals' strong field, leading to the 13th consecutive top-12 finish for U-M.
