ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's soccer team (2-2) will play its third straight road game on Thursday (Aug. 28), traveling to Alumni Stadium in South Bend, Ind., to take on No. 6 Notre Dame (2-0-1). The Big Ten versus ACC clash is slated for a 6 p.m. kickoff and will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra.
• Michigan is 5-13-1 in the all-time series against the Fighting Irish dating back to 1997. The squads have split the last six meetings, with the Wolverines most recently winning in South Bend in 2023.
• Despite being shut out for the first time this season at Georgia on Sunday (Aug. 24), U-M has two players tied for the most goals in the Big Ten through four games played. The potent forward duo of Gabrielle Prych and Elle Ervin have each scored three times so far in 2025.
• Prych and Ervin have accounted for six of Michigan's seven goals through the first four outings. Sophomore Adi Walick has also added assists on four out of those seven scores.
• Michigan will face nine programs that competed in last season's NCAA Tournament, including Notre Dame, which was one game away from playing in the College Cup. The Wolverines are in the midst of a stout three-game swing, facing Georgia, Notre Dame and Western Michigan in consecutive matches. The trio boasted a combined 35-13-16 record last season.
• The Wolverines are 50-76-22 against ranked opponents all-time with a 12-16-3 mark against ranked foes in the Jennifer Klein era. U-M is 4-14-1 against Notre Dame when the Fighting Irish are ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll.
• Notre Dame has logged wins against Western Michigan and Cincinnati thus far into 2025, also drawing at No. 6 Arkansas. The squad is led by reigning ACC Freshman of the Year Izzy Engle, who has accumulated nine points on four goals this season.
• The Wolverines return home for the first time in two weeks on Sunday (Aug. 31) to host Western Michigan at 1 p.m. inside U-M Soccer Stadium. The game will be streamed live on B1G+.
