
Michigan to Travel to Rutgers for Tri-Meet with Scarlet Knights, Kent State

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 16-ranked University of Michigan women's gymnastics team (6-2, 3-1 Big Ten) hits the road to Rutgers where it will compete against the Scarlet Knights (11-4, 1-3 Big Ten) in a conference contest and will also face Kent State (6-0) on Saturday (Feb. 15) at 5 p.m. at Jersey Mike's Arena. The meet will be streamed live on B1G+.
Notes
• The Wolverines rank inside the top-25 on all four individual events: vault (22nd), uneven bars (20th), balance beam (11th) and floor exercise (18th). Graduate student Carly Bauman ranks inside the top 30 in all three of her events -- 16th on uneven bars, 19th on beam and 26th on floor.
• Bauman earned her second Big Ten Specialist of the week honor after recording a 9.900 or better on all three events and took home two titles against Nebraska, while finishing second on floor. Bauman tied a career-best 9.950 on the uneven bars to earn the victory before scoring a 9.975 on the beam in the win and finishing on floor with a 9.900.
• Sophomore Kayli Boozer has started to make a name for herself in her sophomore season, having won two event titles in weeks four and five. Boozer recorded her first career score of 9.900 or better at Washington with a 9.900 to win a share of the beam title, marking the first title of her collegiate career. The Texarkana, Texas, native followed it up with a career-best 9.950, receiving a 10.0 from one judge, to earn her second straight title against Ohio State. Boozer also competes on floor and notched her first 9.900 against OSU to place second and matched it a week later against Nebraska.
• Michigan earned a season-best 197.100 against Nebraska behind a season-high 49.400 on the uneven bars. Ava Jordan recorded a career-best 9.875 and Sophia Diaz tied a career-high 9.900 as both stuck their landings, while Bauman tied a career-best 9.950 to earn the event title.
• U-M's floor team saw four career bests as Peyton Davis, Sophia Diaz and Boozer all tied career highs and Sophie Parenti recorded a career-best 9.850 in the leadoff spot. Davis tied a career-best 9.825, while Diaz continued to build the scores with a 9.850 to tie a career high and Boozer tied a career-best 9.900 in the fourth spot on the floor.
• Graduate student Jenna Mulligan and Diaz shared the vault title against Nebraska with matching 9.825s. The title is the third vault title of both Mulligan and Diaz's careers.
• Fans will have two more chances to catch the Wolverines in action at Crisler Center. Michigan will host two final regular-season meets against UCLA and Alabama before welcoming fans for three sessions of the Big Ten Championships in March.
• Michigan returns to action at Crisler on Sunday (Feb. 23) when it hosts No. 5 UCLA for a 3:45 p.m. meet.
