
Michigan to Close Out Road Swing at Washington

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 18-ranked University of Michigan women's gymnastics team (3-2, 0-1 Big Ten) will close out its four-week road swing at Washington Saturday (Jan. 25) when it takes on the Huskies at Alaska Airlines Arena at 8 p.m. PST. The meet will air on the Big Ten Network.
Notes
• Freshman Jahzara Ranger brought home her third career event title in as many meets as she won a share of the beam title at Michigan State. The Coconut Creek, Fla., native, notched her second career beam title as she tied a career-best 9.900 against the Spartans and broke 39.000 in the all-around for the first time in her career with a 39.325.
• Senior Jacey Vore shared the beam title with Ranger as she matched with a 9.900. Vore stuck both of her landings as she also scored a 9.850 on the uneven bars to help Michigan to a season-best 49.275.
• Graduate student Carly Bauman and freshman Sophia Diaz shared the uneven bars title with matching 9.900s. The title is the ninth uneven bars title of Bauman's career and the first for Diaz. Diaz also won the vault title in week two of the season to bring her career title total to two.
• Sophomore Ava Jordan has been consistent in both of her events this season as she recorded a career-best 9.875 in the leadoff spot on vault and tied a career-best 9.825 on the uneven bars for the third straight week.
• Freshman Sophie Parenti has been a calming presence for Michigan in the leadoff spot on uneven bars, beam and floor for two straight weeks. The Los Altos, Calif., native, notched career bests on both uneven bars (9.800) and beam (9.850), while earning a 9.800 on the floor in week three of the season.
• Michigan will host four regular-season meets in the 2025 campaign, starting in week five with Ohio State at 6:45 p.m. on Jan. 31. The Wolverines will also host the Big Ten Conference Championships at Crisler Center March 21-22.
• Michigan will open its 2025 home slate Friday (Jan. 31) when it hosts Ohio State for a 6:45 p.m. Big Ten Conference meet at Crisler Center. The match will stream on B1G+.Â
