
Brooks, Wilson Close out Illustrious Careers as All-Americans at NCAA Individual Finals

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Graduate students Gabby Wilson and Sierra Brooks and senior Carly Bauman of the University of Michigan women's gymnastics competed Thursday night (April 18) in the second session of the NCAA Individual Event Finals at Dickies Arena, with Wilson and Brooks combining for three All-America citations on the evening.
Wilson finished eighth on floor exercise and in the all-around to earn a pair of second-team All-America honors, while Brooks tied for first in the session to earn first-team honors. First-team honors go to first through fourth places (including ties) in the session and second-team recognition is earned for places five through eight (and ties).
Wilson closed out her stellar career placing 13th overall in the all-around with a 39.500, while placing 14th on the floor with a 9.9125 to bring her career total to six All-America citations. The Ypsilanti, Mich., native secured 43 career event titles and had 107 career routines of 9.900 or better. She is a five-time All-Big Ten first team honoree with six career perfect 10s and was a 2024 AAI Award Finalist.
Brooks scored a 9.950 to tie for second overall on floor with a 9.950 and scored a 9.8625 on the vault. She finishes her illustrious career as an eight-time first team All-American. The Plainfield, Ill., native finishes her career as 15-time regular season All-American, a four-time individual regional champion, a four-time Regional Gymnast of the Year, a three-time Big Ten Gymnast of the Year and a five-time first team All-Big Ten honoree. Brooks also was the 2023 AAI Award winner and Michigan's Big Ten Medal of Honor recipient.
Bauman had a strong showing on the uneven bars, scoring a 9.900 to finish 10th in the second session.
