Notes
• U-M is looking to snap a seven-game losing streak vs. the Fighting Illini. The Wolverines suffered an 88-73 setback to then-ranked No. 14 Illini at Crisler Center on Jan. 18. U-M is 28-60 all-time in Champaign with the last road win on Jan. 10, 2019 (W, 79-69).
• Despite 20 points from Tarris Reed Jr., Michigan fell, 88-73, to No. 14 Illinois earlier this season (Jan. 18). Reed led the Wolverines while shooting 8-for-10 from the field and going 4-for-4 from the free-throw line. Olivier Nkamhoua added 16 points. Michigan trailed 48-47 after a 7-0 run brought the Wolverines back into the game, but the Illini responded with a 17-2 run and remained in control until the final buzzer. Illinois outscored U-M 51-37 in the second half.
• Last time at Illinois (March 2, 2023) -- Hunter Dickinson had 31 points (16 rebounds), while Kobe Bufkin added 23 points, 17 of which came in the second half; however, Michigan fell at Illinois, 91-87, in double overtime.
• Olivier Nkamhoua is seven points away from reaching 1,100 (1,093), while Jaelin Llewellyn is three points away from 1,200 in his career.
• With 22 rebounds over his last two games, Nkamhoua surpassed 600 career (604). Leading U-M with 7.4 per game, he recently had a season-best 12 against Wisconsin (Feb. 7) before adding 10 more at Nebraska (Feb. 10). He has six 10-plus rebound games this season.
• In his last four road games (with Dug McDaniel out due to his academic road suspension), Llewellyn has averaged 12.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and shot 47.8 percent (11-for-23) from long range in 32.6 minutes per game.
• Reed reached 300 career rebounds after grabbing nine at Nebraska. He is second on U-M with 7.0 per game. However, over his last six games, he has hauled in 9.3 per game, including a career-best 15 against Rutgers (Feb. 3) -- his fifth 10-plus board game.
• Leading U-M for a second straight season with 36 blocks, Reed has had 11 over his last four games (2.8 bpg). Last season, he paced U-M with 31.
• U-M Sixth Man Will Tschetter has consistently shot above 50-plus percent from long range all season. Currently, he is at 58.5 percent (24-for-41) and is 5-for-8 over his last three games. A year ago, Tschetter was just 5-for-20 (25 percent).
• After three long-range buckets at Nebraska, Nimari Burnett has 24 of his 40 three-pointers away from Ann Arbor. In fact, when he makes multiple three-pointers (13 games), Burnett has posted all 11 of his double-figure games, including a career-best 21 at St. John's (Nov. 13).
• Playing in the final minutes at Nebraska, Jackson Selvala, the former manager turned walk-on, scored his first career points in two seasons with a pair of free throws.
