Maize Rage Guide for All Fans
The Maize Rage was established in 2000 by University of Michigan students. Since its formation, the Maize Rage has transformed Crisler Arena into one of the most distinctive home court advantages in the Big Ten and NCAA.
Maize Rage Traditions
- Cheer the team on and off the floor during warmups.
- During the opposing starting lineups, join along with the "Go Blue" chant.
- Get on your feet and turn on your flashlights for Michigan's starting lineups.
- Stand until the first UM basket is made.
- Give the team a motivational cheer if the opposing team goes on a run.
Offensive
- "Here we go, Michigan, here we go" -- only the first offensive possession of each half.
- "Let's go, Michigan"
- "Let's go Blue"
- "Go, Blue, Go"
- "Go Blue"
Defense
- Enhance the atmosphere! Stand up, stomp your feet, clap your hands, make noise! Help the student section create energy for the team.
- Make as much noise as possible during opposing free throws.
