
Wolverines to Host In-State Foe Central Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's basketball team (1-1) continues a five-game homestand on Thursday (Nov. 14), hosting Central Michigan (0-1) at Crisler Center. Tip is set for 7 p.m., and the game will be streamed live on B1G+.
Notes
• Michigan continues a five-game homestand after starting the season away from Crisler Center for the first time since 2013. U-M is coming off an 86-55 win over Lehigh (Nov. 8) in its home opener.
• U-M and CMU are playing for the third time in the last five seasons, with Michigan leading 17-9 in the all-time series. Since the series resumed in 2020, Michigan picked up a 93-75 season-opening win at Crisler and a 69-45 win in Mount Pleasant in 2021.
• Syla Swords was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week and the Tamika Catchings National Freshman of the Week by the USWBA after averaging 23.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game to begin her collegiate career.
• Jordan Hobbs turned in the first double-double of her career in the win over Lehigh, going for 17 points and a career-best 11 rebounds.
• Michigan has had a player record a double-double in each of its games this season, with Swords turning one in against South Carolina (Nov. 4) and Hobbs doing it last time out.
• U-M is one of two Big Ten teams with two players ranked in the top 15 in the league in scoring average. Swords is fourth at 23.5 points per game, with Hobbs coming in at No. 12 with 18.0 points per game.
• Olivia Olson recorded the first double-figure scoring game of her career in Michigan's win over Lehigh, going for 17 points, three assists and four steals. Olson dominated in the fourth quarter, scoring eight points over the final 10 minutes.
• Central Michigan is coming off a 65-62 loss to Coastal Carolina on Nov. 4 to begin the season.
• U-M has stuck with a five-guard starting lineup over the first two contests, going with Mila Holloway, Swords, Olson, Greta Kampschroeder and Hobbs to start the game.
• Michigan will continue its swing of in-state opponents next time out, hosting Oakland on Sunday (Nov. 17) at noon.
