Jan. 29 -- Benjamin Kittay
Big Ten Player of the Week
» Benjamin Kittay went 4-0 as No. 25 Michigan qualified for the ITA National Team Indoor Championship with wins in the ITA Kick-Off in Knoxville, Tenn.
» Kittay went 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles as the Wolverines defeated Auburn 4-1 and No. 14 Tennessee 4-1.
» On Saturday (Jan. 25), Kittay won 6-3, 6-4 over Billy Blaydes (Auburn) at No. 2 singles. On Sunday (Jan. 26), Kittay stepped up after Michigan's No. 1 player pulled out of singles. He defeated No. 34-ranked Alex Kotzen 6-3, 6-4 for his first ranked win of the season. Kittay is now 3-0 in dual singles.
» Kittay and partner Patorn Hanchaikul went 2-0 with a 7-5 win over Auburn and a 6-4 win over Tennessee. The pair is now 3-0 this season as Kittay improves to 12-2 in doubles after reaching the national championship in the fall.

Big Ten Player of the Week
» Patorn Hanchaikul went 2-0, winning both his doubles and singles matches as Michigan opened the dual season with a 7-0 win over Ball State.
» The Bangkok, Thailand, native won 18 games, losing just two in the team victory. At No. 2 doubles, he and partner Benjamin Kittay won 6-2 over Ian Brady and Petar Petrovic.
» The No. 113-ranked singles player went on to stay perfect in singles, going 6-0 in his first set before taking a 6-2 set second over Jenson Bicanic at No. 5 singles.
» Hanchaikul remains unbeaten at No. 5 singles in his career at 5-0 and is 18-6 in his career dual singles matches.
Nov. 13 -- Gavin Young
Big Ten Player of the Week
» Gavin Young qualified for the NCAA Singles Championship when he reached the semifinals of the ITA Sectional last week.
» The Apple Valley, Minn., native knocked off Max Sheldon (Michigan State) in three sets, 7-6 (5), 3-6, 7-5, in the round of 32 before taking out No. 114-ranked Anton Shepp (Nebraska) in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1. He secured his spot in the NCAAs with a 6-1, 7-5 win over No. 41-ranked Isaac Becroft (Oklahoma State) in the quarterfinals. Young withdrew from the semifinal with an injury.
» Young and doubles partner Bjorn Swenson also withdrew from the doubles semifinal. The pair defeated Isaac Becroft/Alessio Basile (Oklahoma State) 3-6, 6-1, 10-7 before downing No. 54-ranked Sheldon/Matthew Forbes (Michigan State) 7-6 (5), 7-5 in the quarterfinals). Young and partner Benjamin Kittay have already qualified for the NCAA Doubles Championship.
Oct. 16 -- Gavin Young
Big Ten Co-Player of the Week
» Gavin Young won the ITA Midwest Region Doubles championship with partner Benjamin Kittay this past weekend. Young and Kittay went 5-0 in doubles.
» Young and Kittay earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Doubles Championship after defeating Zachary Viala and Tyler Bowers of Illinois 7-5, 2-6, 15-13 in the final.
» Young reached the quarterfinals in singles play, winning three of four matches. He defeated Greyson Casey (Northwestern), Nikita Filin (Ohio State) and Michael Minasyan (Wisconsin) before falling to No. 70-ranked Alexander Bernard (Ohio State) in the quarterfinals.
