Xavier opened the third quarter with what would prove to be its final goal of the game before Stein netted three straight to record her first career hat trick. Following Stein's goals, Nelson opened the fourth quarter with her first career goal on a free-position attempt and Norris scored her first career goal minutes later on a Meryl Johnson assist.
Peyton Shreves and Workman teamed up on back-to-back goals, with Workman feeding Shreves before Shreves returned the favor to put U-M up 21-2. Nelson scored the final goal of the game with just over a minute to play to cap the Michigan win.
