Arielle Weissman, Kaitlyn Mead (May 23)
Inside Lacrosse All-America -- Graduate student Arielle Weissman and senior Kaitlyn Mead added Inside Lacrosse All-America honors to the list of awards in the 2022 season as Weissman was named second team and Mead earned honorable mention.
Weissman started all 18 games in the cage and had a .505 save percentage with 149 saves in the 2022 season. The Bridgewater, N.J., native recorded six games with double-digit saves, including making 17 saves, which ranks second all-time in Michigan single-game history, against Notre Dame in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Mead started all 18 games for the Wolverines and led the draw control with 71 wins, while ranking second on the team with 37 points (28 goals, 9 assists). The Sparta, N.J., native recorded 11 multi-point games, including four hat tricks. Mead also had 13 games with three of more draw control wins, including nine against USC, which ranks second all-time in Michigan single-game history.
Arielle Weissman (May 17)
IWLCA National Player of the Week -- Graduate student Arielle Weissman was named the IWLCA National Player of the Week after her performances in the cage against Notre Dame and Northwestern in the first and second round of the NCAA Tournament. Weissman opened the weekend with a career-best 17 saves, which ties for second all-time in Michigan single-game history, to help lift the Wolverines to a 17-11 NCAA first-round victory over the Fighting Irish. The Bridgewater, N.J., native then closed out her collegiate career with nine saves against Northwestern. The honor is the first of Weissman's career.
Julia Schwabe (April 19)
Big Ten Freshman of the Week -- Midfielder Julia Schwabe was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week following her two-goal performance at Penn State (April 16). Schwabe netted the first two goals of the game for the Wolverines, including one free position goal. The Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor is the second of her Schwabe's career. » Big Ten Release

Big Ten Freshman of the Week -- Midfielder Julia Schwabe was named the Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Week for her play against No. 11 Denver. Schwabe tallied two assists and one draw control coming off the bench as a reserve. The Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor is the first for Schwabe. » Big Ten Release
Kaitlyn Mead, Arielle Weissman (March 10)
Tewaaraton Award Watch List: Graduate student Arielle Weissman and senior Kaitlyn Mead have been added to the 2022 Tewaaraton Watch List. Weissman has earned her role as the starting goalie for Michigan, making 48 saves and carrying a .593 save percentage seven games into the 2022 season. The Bridgewater, N.J. native has two games with double-digit saves in 2022, including making 13 saves against then-No. 5 Notre Dame. Mead leads Michigan on the draw control with 26 wins through the first seven games of the season nad is one of nine players with double digit points. Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week -- Graduate student Arielle Weissman earned two wins in the cage in Michigan's opening weekend, including the program's first-ever win over at a top-five program in No. 5 Notre Dame. Against the Fighting Irish, Weissman made 13 saves and allowed Notre Dame to convert on only two of nine free position shots, while adding seven ground balls. She also started against Detroit Mercy, playing the first half and making three saves in 30 minutes of action. This Big Ten honor is the second of her career. » Big Ten Release
Big Ten Midfielder of the Week -- Senior Kaitlyn Mead posted back-to-back multi-goal games over the weekend. Following a two-goal outing against Detroit Mercy, Mead scored four goals against No. 5 Notre Dame, including the first three goals of the game. Caitlin Muir (Feb. 10)
Tewaaraton Award Watch List -- Fifth-year senior Caitlin Muir has been named to the 2022 Tewaaraton Award Watch List. She has been named to the list for the past three seasons after leading the Wolverines on offense. The Honeoye Falls, N.Y. native enters her final season on the field as Michigan's single season points and assist leader, while leading U-M in 2021 with 46 points and 23 assists. Muir was named a 2022 captain for the Wolverines and is a two-time Big Ten honoree as well as an Inside Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American in 2020.
Caitlin Muir, Kaitlyn Mead, Maddie Burns (Feb. 2)
Big Ten Players to Watch -- Fifth-year senior Caitlin Muir along with senior Kaitlyn Mead and sophomore Maddie Burns were named Big Ten Players to Watch for the 2022 season.
Muir, a 2022 team captain and two-time Tewaaraton Watch List nominee, enters her fifth season with the Wolverines after leading Michigan with 46 points and 23 assists in the 2021 season. The Honeoye Falls, N.Y., native is U-M's single-season points and assists leader with 59 points and 21 assists in her sophomore season and is a two-time All-Big Ten honoree.
Mead, a 2022 captain, earned Big Ten second team at-large honors in her junior campaign after scoring 15 goals and adding five assists. The senior midfielder led the Wolverines with 36 draw-control wins and was named the Big Ten Defender of the Week in the 2021 season.
Burns, a sophomore defender, appeared in all 12 games for the Wolverines and started nine in her freshman season. The Philadelphia, Pa., native has 10 ground balls and had seven caused turnovers in her first season at Michigan. » Big Ten Release
