» U-M and MSU are two of eight schools in the Big Ten with 1-1 records after the first week of conference action. Michigan is coming off a 34-point win over Penn State (Dec. 31), with Michigan State entering on the heels of an overtime win over Nebraska.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's basketball team (10-3, 1-1 Big Ten) will complete a two-game homestand Sunday (Jan. 5)Â when the Wolverines host Michigan State (8-5, 1-1 Big Ten) at Crisler Center. The game is set for noon and will be broadcast live on ESPN2.
• Michigan is wrapping up a two-game homestand against Michigan State (Jan. 5), opening the new decade at noon on ESPN2. Michigan is 7-1 this season at Crisler, averaging 76.5 points per game while holding opponents to 57.4 points per game.
• Sophomore Amy Dilk has turned it up in the last three contests, averaging 19.0 points per game on 60.5 percent shooting from the floor. She has led Michigan in scoring twice, going for a career-best 26 points against Florida State (Dec. 22) and followed that up with 18 points against Maryland (Dec. 28). Dilk was on triple-double watch against Penn State (Dec. 31), going for 13 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. She is back to averaging double digits in scoring at 10.6 points per game while going for 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. She is sixth in the Big Ten in assists per game.
• Through just two games of the Big Ten slate, there are only three unbeaten teams in Northwestern, Indiana and Purdue at 2-0. Eight teams -- Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa, Maryland, Nebraska, Ohio State, Minnesota and Rutgers -- are each 1-1. Wisconsin, Illinois and Penn State are still looking for their first conference win.
• Michigan has been effective on the glass this season, averaging 40.1 boards per game with a +7.0 margin to rank second in the Big Ten. U-M also paces the Big Ten in rebounding defense, allowing just 33.1 rebounds per game to its opponents. Naz Hillmon is sixth in the conference in rebounding (7.9 rpg), with three other Wolverines grabbing at least five boards per game in Akienreh Johnson (5.3 rpg), Kayla Robbins (5.2 rpg) and Amy Dilk (5.5 rpg).
• Michigan enters the contest against Michigan State leading the Big Ten in rebounding defense, allowing just 33.1 boards per game. Michigan State comes into the contest tops in the league in rebounding offense, grabbing 42.2 rebounds per game. U-M is second in rebounding margin (+7.0), while MSU is fourth at +5.5.
• Michigan State (8-5, 1-1 B1G) snapped a three-game skid last time out, knocking off Nebraska, 78-70, in overtime on Tuesday (Dec. 31). MSU is averaging 74.5 points per game on 40.5 percent shooting while allowing 61.1 points per game on 38.7 percent shooting. The Spartans have a pair of double-figure scorers in Nia Clouden (15.7 ppg) and Taryn McCutcheon (11.5 ppg), with six other Spartans scoring at least 5.0 points per game.
