SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Select members of the University of Michigan men's track and field team finished out the 2019 indoor regular season on Saturday (Feb. 16) at the Notre Dame Alex Wilson Invitational.

Six of the nine Wolverines in action on the final weekend of competition ahead of the Big Ten Indoor Championships in Ann Arbor next Friday and Saturday (Feb. 22-23) established new career-best performances in one of three different events.
The duo of Ian Davis and Desmond Melson posted the best finishes of the day for Michigan with fifth- and seventh-place showings, respectively, at 400 meters. Davis clocked a new college career-best 48.47, with Melson just behind in 48.82.
Seventh-place Andrew Lorant led five Michigan men in the 3,000-meter race, finishing in 8:17.94. Christian Hubaker was next across the line for the Wolverines in a career-best 8:18.13.
Austin Remick and Evan Meyer we 11th and 12th in the mile.
With the regular season now having reached its conclusion, the Wolverines turn their full attention to the Big Ten Indoor Championships, which U-M will host next Friday and Saturday (Feb. 22-23) at the U-M Track Building.
