Lineups Set for Annual Maize and Blue Intrasquad

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan wrestling team will informally kick off its 2018-19 season on Sunday (Oct. 28) with the annual Maize and Blue Intrasquad at 2 p.m. at Cliff Keen Arena. Admission is free.
The Maize and Blue Intrasquad, which will feature eight matches at eight weight classes, typically serves as a component of the preseason wrestle-offs to determine the Wolverines' starting lineup. Preliminary matches were held on Friday afternoon (Oct. 26) inside the Bahna Wrestling Center. Additional wrestle-off matches could occur at a later date.

Michigan will send the bulk of its roster to participate in the Michigan State Open next Saturday, Nov. 3, at Jenison Field House, while redshirt junior Myles Amine will compete in the 174-pound contest at the NWCA All-Star Classic on Friday, Nov. 2, in Denver, Colorado.
