» Kyle Mueller is tied for the individual lead after 18 holes with his six-under 66 that included seven birdies and a bogey. It is Mueller's season-best score, besting his third-round 67 at the Windon Memorial Classic.
» Michigan is tied for second place in the team standings with an eight-under 280, one of three teams six strokes behind Baylor after the first round.
» Tom Swanson used an eagle and five birdies on his way to a four-under 68 in his first round. It is his third straight under-par round, dating back to the final two rounds of the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate.
» Michigan is up on five ranked teams heading into tomorrow's (Monday, March 20) second round, including No. 8 Virginia and No. 20 Georgia.
