ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 25-ranked University of Michigan women's basketball team (3-1) heads back on the road this weekend, traveling to Athens, Ohio, to face the Ohio Bobcats (3-0) on Saturday (Nov. 25) at 2 p.m. inside the Convocation Center. It is the second contest in a home-and-home series with the Bobcats.
• The connections between Ohio and Michigan run deep. Junior Hallie Thome's twin sister, Hannah, plays for the Bobcats, and sophomore Kayla Robbins' brother, Kevin, is a fifth-year senior on the football team at Ohio. In addition, U-M athletic trainer Melissa Pohorence attended Ohio for college. Ohio's roster also features Amani Burke, sister of U-M men's basketball great Trey Burke.
• Michigan's trip to Athens, Ohio, will be its second trip to Athens in the last three months. The Wolverines spent four days in Athens, Greece, during their foreign trip over the summer.
• Freshmen Hailey Brown and Deja Church have made an impact on the Wolverines this young season. Brown has started all four games, reaching double figures in scoring three times and in rebounding twice. She recorded the first double-double of her career in Michigan's win over Oakland (Nov. 22), going for 10 points and 11 rebounds.
