
Wolverines Open Up Competition at NCAA Zone Diving Meet

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Five divers from the No. 1-ranked University of Michigan men's swimming and diving team competed on the one-meter springboard at the first day of NCAA Zone C Diving Championships, held Thursday (March 14) at Purdue's Boilermaker Aquatic Center. Freshman Timothy Faerber (Potomac, Md./Churchill) was the team's highest finisher, taking 19th (286.15).
The other four finishers included junior Jack Lee (North Egremont, Mass./The Berkshire School) in 22nd (277.85), junior Thomas Jahnke (Ann Arbor, Mich./Huron) in 23rd (276.90), junior Nate Rietberg (Jenison, Mich./Jenison) in 34th (259.60), and junior James Ross (Richmond, Va./Collegiate School) in 44th (240.45).
The Wolverines' divers will be back in action tomorrow (Friday, March 15) at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center for day two of the zone meet and competition on the three-meter board. Preliminaries will start at 1 p.m.
