2006-07 SDM vs. Michigan State and Princeton -- Quotes

Michigan Head Swimming Coach Bob Bowman
On today's meet ... "I thought we showed progress, which was the goal and the guys raced hard and put up some fairly good times. I'm very happy with today."
On how well the underclassmen have done this year ... "The sophomores and the freshmen have been doing extremely well. Evan Ryser and Bobby Savulich have really come along. Of course, Spann continues to really do well. I'm very happy with those guys."
U-M Diving Coach Chris Bergre
On today's meet ... "We're missing Kyle Schroeder, he broke his eardrum at practice. He would have been a big factor this weekend as far as scoring points for the team. As far as the two men that did dive, Jon Donadee and Charlie Kennedy, they're both improving and they're getting a lot better."
On Kyle Schroeder qualifying for NCAA Zones over the past two meets ... "He's coming along, he's a great athlete. He's going to really help us out; he did last year at Big Tens. This is just a minor setback, him breaking his eardrum. His sitting on the sidelines recovering is going to make him even hungrier than he is and he'll use the time that he has left more wisely because he knows he's missed out some. So we're going to use this setback as a springboard to move forward for our training."
