Wolverines to Travel to Face No. 1 Michigan State

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's soccer team (3-1-3) will make the short trip to East Lansing to take on No. 1-ranked Michigan State on Sunday (Sept. 20) at 1 p.m. at DeMartin Stadium. The match will be streamed live on B1G+.
Notes
• Michigan opened Big Ten play with a split on its Illinois road swing, highlighted by a 2-0 victory over Illinois on Sunday (Sept. 13).
• Elle Ervin and Adi Walick have combined to convert all four of Michigan's penalty-kick opportunities, giving the Wolverines a perfect 4-for-4 mark from the spot.
• Malia Zillman recorded the second clean sheet of her career in Michigan's 2-0 victory over Illinois, making three saves to preserve the shutout.
• Walick leads the Maize and Blue with seven points on three goals and one assist while posting a .375 shooting percentage. Her three converted penalty kicks rank first in the Big Ten and place her among 11 players nationally with at least three conversions from the spot.
• No. 1 Michigan State will be the second ranked opponent on U-M's schedule. The Wolverines battled No. 25 Notre Dame to a 1-1 draw in their first matchup against a ranked foe.
• U-M holds a 14-11-7 advantage in the all-time series with Michigan State. Head coach Dave DiIanni owns a 5-5-1 record against the Spartans during his Iowa tenure.
• Michigan's most recent victory over Michigan State came in 2021, when the Wolverines earned a 1-0 win at U-M Soccer Stadium.
