
Six Wolverines to Compete at U23 World Championships

DUISBURG, Germany -- The University of Michigan rowing program will be represented by six student-athletes at the 2026 World Rowing Under-23 Championships, which will take place Thursday through Sunday (July 23-26) at the Duisburg Regatta Course.
Danelia Price-Hughes and Sinéad Erasmus will be competing for South Africa in the 4-. Price-Hughes also competed in the 2025 Championships, finishing second in the single scull B finals. In 2023, Erasmus represented RSA in the Under-19 World Rowing Championships in the quad scull event.
Rising sophomores Novella Rusman and Lucy Hallett, alongside recent graduate Madeleine Lauriault, will be competing together for Team Canada in the 8+. Hallett and Lauriault will also be the two rowers in the 2- for Canada. Lauriault has previous experience representing Canada in this event as part of the 8+ in 2024.
