
Law Sets 800m Record and U-M Notches Six Top-10 Marks at Duke Twilight

DURHAM, N.C. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team closed out its regular-season road slate Sunday (May 3) at Morris Williams Stadium, recording one program record and six top-10 marks.
Camden Law won the 800-meter run with a personal-best 1:45.86, setting both the program and facility record at Morris Williams Stadium. Brendan Herger followed in third with a personal-best 1:46.40, good for No. 5 on the program list.
Corey Royster posted the No. 3 time in program history in the 100-meter dash, running a personal-best 10.37 to finish fifth. Jake Machiniak placed third with a wind-aided 10.28 (+2.8m/s), which would have ranked No. 3 on the program list if wind legal.
Royster added another top mark in the 200-meter dash, winning in 20.93 to rank No. 6 on the program list. Machiniak finished second in 21.02.
A trio of Wolverines recorded personal bests in the 400-meter dash, led by Will Barhite (10th, 47.13). Krish Gupta placed 11th (47.21), while Malachi Mosley finished 18th (47.83).
Riley Flemington placed fifth in the 1,500-meter run with a personal-best 3:40.40, ranking No. 8 in program history. Heath McAllister finished fifth in the 5,000-meter run with a personal-best 13:47.42 (No. 9), while Jack Bidwell placed seventh (13:54.39) and Nolan Clark finished 12th with a season-best 14:04.60.
Jake Wall won the long jump with a personal-best 7.58m (24-10.5), moving to No. 10 on the program list.
In the discus throw, Zane Forist placed third with a season-best 55.12m (180-10). Josh Huisman finished second in the shot put with a mark of 17.90m (58-8.75).
Michigan will return home to host the Len Paddock Open on Friday (May 8) at the U-M Outdoor Track in its regular-season finale.
