Notes
• Michigan is hosting the CWPA Championship for the fourth time (2008, 2013, 2021), and is seeking its 11th CWPA title. The tournament winner receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.
• The Wolverines are ranked No. 11 in the CWPA poll, entering the CWPA Championship as the No. 3 seed, matched up against a sixth-seeded Mercyhurst.
• Michigan's regular-season finale against Indiana marked the debut of the Battle of the Great Lakes trophy, which will stay in Ann Arbor after an 11-9 victory.
• The CWPA announced its All-Conference Team, featuring six U-M players: sophomore Ari Karampetsou, and junior Emma Gustafsson received first-team honors; senior Issy Jackson and junior Emilia Mladjan were recognized as members of the second team. Maddy Scarth and Sophia Bunnell received conference Honor Roll recognition.
• The Wolverines are undefeated at Canham this season at 5-0.
• Mladjan notched her third hat trick of the season against Indiana, scoring three goals in the first quarter. In addition to three points, the junior was responsible for two drawn exclusions and a steal in the win. That performance earned her CWPA Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career.
• Gustafsson posted a hat trick of her own, including the opening score for the Wolverines just 20 seconds into the game. The three goals helped her tie her goal total from last season with 49. Gustafsson has already surpassed her assist total, providing 18 after assisting on 10 goals last season. She now has 67 points this season.
• This will be the Wolverines' second competition with Mercyhurst this season; the teams last met at the Midwest Invitational (Feb. 15), a 15-4 U-M victory. In that game, Michigan tied its season high assist total (11).
