ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan women's golf senior Lauren Sung has been selected as an individual competitor for the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional, the NCAA announced Wednesday (April 29). Michigan will serve as one of six regional host sites, with play set for Monday through Wednesday, May 11-13, at the U-M Golf Course.
Sung will compete as one of six individuals invited to the Ann Arbor Regional, marking her first career NCAA individual regional appearance. She is joined by Trinity Beth (Georgia), Isabella McCauley (Minnesota), Mariana Mesones (Minnesota), Alexis Vakasiuola (Grand Canyon) and Yanah Rolston (IU Indianapolis).
"We're really excited for Lauren," said U-M head coach Jan Dowling. "She's been such a steady, reliable player for us all year and has earned this opportunity. Having her do it on our home course makes it much more special.
